Last week, People’s Pension became the newest company to join the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) – a network of over 50 reputable companies committed to doing business in a socially responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
As part of our objective to drive our business through strategic partnerships, we hope to share the work we are doing on ensuring a better tomorrow for the Ghanaian worker by offering them flexible, innovative, and digitally driven pension products to the rest of the world through this platform. Because it is our belief that the work we do is critical to promoting livelihoods now as well as ensure a better tomorrow for every Ghanaian worker.
This platform will therefore afford us the opportunity to realise financial inclusion for everyone by raising our profile, expanding our network as well as explore important business opportunities.
Established in 2016 with the support of the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT) as a member-based trade association, it facilitates and promotes bilateral trade between the UK and Ghana via the three platforms of networking, advocacy, and trade services.
As a strong, reputable and the most recognised voice of the UK-Ghana business community, it the UKGCC directly engages with both the Ghana and UK governments, policy makers, opinion leaders and all relevant stakeholders by lobbying and advocating on the interests and concerns of our members.
Its trade services comprise facilitation of bilateral trade between UK and Ghana through capacity building and market entry services such as research, due diligence, B2B engagements and trade facilitation.
We are excited about the prospects that this partnership offers us, and we are certainly looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with the UKGCC and its members.
